Due to the problem of fake news that is quickly forwarded through online media, this may cause widespread damage to individuals and society.
“Thai Media Fund” or “TMF” concerns the problem of fake news and recognizes the importance of educating “Media Literacy” that will help develop people’s capacities and do not be fooled to fake news. The group of people who can help stop the spread of fake news is “Media”
The Digital Verification (Fact – Check) Training Program held during 25 – 26 June 2020 at Alliance Française Bangkok. The objective of the program is to educate skills in verifying fake news by the experts in Fact-Checking from AFP to journalists from news agencies, television stations and websites, etc.
On this occasion, Mrs.Varinrumpai Puntanaree, TMF’s acting CEO, and Mr. Stephane Delfour, Directeur Agence France – Presse (AFP)’s Bureau Chief of Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos gave welcome speech to all participants.
