The Media and Creative Development Fund Office, in collaboration with the Sub-committee on Promoting Public Participation, organized a public hearing on the guidelines and criteria for allocating funds for the 2021 fiscal year, titled “TMF Public Hearing: Grants for Change 2564”.
Dr. Yupapha Thaweewattanakitbaworn, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Chair of the Subcommittee for the Administration of the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund, presided over the opening ceremony and stated that today's event was a great opportunity for the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund to gather feedback from all sectors, allowing the public to offer suggestions for developing criteria for grant applications. She added that the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund has a good intention to provide equal opportunities for everyone to apply for funding.
This platform provides an opportunity for all sectors to express their opinions and suggestions. The Ministry of Culture and the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund are ready to stand by and listen to all opinions and suggestions that benefit society and the public good.
Dr. Tanakorn Srisukhsai, Manager of the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund, stated that it is a good opportunity for the Fund to participate in the creative allocation process for 2564, which allows people from all sectors to participate in jointly thinking about and determining the criteria and rules.
The Safe and Creative Media Development Fund has four main objectives in organizing this event.
1. We aim to promote public participation in developing guidelines and criteria for allocating funds in 2564 to maximize benefits and truly achieve the fund's objectives.
2. There is a timeframe for communicating and publicizing the scholarship application process and activities for the year 2564.
3. Strengthen the capacity and prepare prospective grant applicants to be ready and understand project proposal writing and related procedures.
4. Disseminate information and introduce the mission and objectives of the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund to the public, encouraging participation in its activities and continuously driving its work forward.
Within this year, the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund will hold three more public hearings on the guidelines and criteria for allocating funds for the 2021 fiscal year, "TMF Public Hearing: Grants for Change 2021," in three regions: Khon Kaen on November 16, 2020; Surat Thani on December 4, 2020; and Chiang Mai on December 18, 2020.

For today's public consultation, the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund has invited experts from the fund to share their experiences and solicit feedback on the funding allocation guidelines for the 2564 fiscal year.
