Dr. Thanakorn Srisukhsai, Manager of the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund, revealed that during the COVID-19 crisis and up to the present, the Fund has produced various public awareness and prevention materials, including songs, COVID-19 related stories, short film competition entries under the theme "The Charm of Thailand in the New Normal," regional Thai language campaign spots from the four regions of Thailand, educational cartoons, and a series on Muslim community life and management during the COVID-19 situation.
Dr. Tanakorn said, "Furthermore, following the media fund, I and Kasetsart University jointly developed an online course on COVID-19 and epidemiology. Professor Dr. Yong Poovorawan and Associate Professor Yuen Poovorawan delivered the knowledge via the website learningcovid.ku.ac.th. Over 190,000 students, community health volunteers, and members of the general public have completed the course and received certificates. To further develop this online course on COVID-19 and epidemiology..."
The Safe and Creative Media Development Division and Kasetsart University have therefore launched a project to develop online learning materials, specifically a course on "New Way of Life and Digital Literacy," to further and expand the new way of life related to the use of digital technology. The course will be available for enrollment soon.
“The Fund hopes that the general public will utilize the campaign materials and COVID-19 prevention resources by simply downloading them from both the YouTube channel and the website of the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund. This will not only benefit them personally but also allow them to share safe media with their loved ones during the Songkran festival,” said Dr. Thanakorn.
