(November 2, 65) Dr. Thanakorn Srisukhsai PhD CEO, Thai Media Fund
Giving a presentation on the topic 'Creating positive media for a better society.'During my participation in the project...'Communication arts students show off their D grades.'Organized jointly by the Safe and Creative Media Development Fund and the Faculty of Communication Arts, Dhurakij Pundit University'.
At the Dr. Sawai Conference Room, Dhurakij Pundit University.
Dr. Thanakorn pointed out that a significant number of people who are not open to information are at risk of falling victim to criminal gangs or call center scams, which are a serious cyber threat today. He urged those close to them to help monitor and provide guidance.
"We must work together to drive social change." Communicating positive stories in the current climate is challenging. Many assume media reach is widespread, but in reality, many people are still left out, such as the hearing impaired, the visually impaired, or those who are closed off to information. How can we ensure they have access to safe and constructive media? It requires the help of those close to them to remind them of positive messages, and media producers to consider the audience, ensuring they receive accurate, complete, and safe information.
"The Safe and Creative Media Development Fund aims to ensure that all citizens have equitable access to creative media. We hope that the 'Kids Show Off Their Media Skills' project will help youth and participants understand the correct use of media, thereby driving society towards a society with safe and creative media."
Asst. Prof. Siwanart Hongprayoon, Dean of the Faculty of Communication Arts, Dhurakij Pundit University.
It is said that communication is essential to society, but today there is an integration of both old and new media, which facilitates communication more effectively. This allows everyone to become a media producer capable of conveying messages. However, open access to various media can also lead to some media being unconstructive in terms of language, gender, violence, and the imitation of behaviors by teenagers.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thandakan Duangrat, Vice President for Network Relations.
It was stated that in an era where media is readily available and in our hands, we have a responsibility to be a driving force in making our society better. Media literacy in today's society is extremely important. News reports of fraudsters defrauding people reflect a lack of media literacy in our society. Selecting interesting social issues and turning them into documentaries can help create a safer society and raise awareness among people. We sincerely hope that this project will continue to create positive contributions to society.
