The Smarter Life by Psychology “Understanding Cyberbullying” project aims to enhance knowledge about cyberbullying through research into the prevalence of cyberbullying behavior and its psychological impact on victims in Thailand. It focuses on understanding cyberbullying from the perspectives of the perpetrator, the victim, and witnesses, and produces educational materials derived from research on “Cyberbullying” through videos, photo albums, infographics, and academic seminars, disseminated via online media.
Project Highlights
The Faculty of Psychology, Chulalongkorn University, was the recipient of this grant, representing an educational institution with expertise in psychology. This project initiated research to explore various forms of online bullying and analyzed the findings to develop easily understandable materials. The aim is to raise awareness, foster understanding, and provide guidance on preventing and coping with cyberbullying, a significant problem in contemporary society, and to address its negative impact on mental health.

1. 80% of participants in the academic seminar gained increased knowledge and understanding of online bullying. They received guidelines for preventing online bullying and for coping with situations involving online bullying. The average knowledge score before the event was 3.77, and after the event it was 4.03, representing an increase of 0.26 in the average knowledge score.
2. Viewers of the creative media gain knowledge and understanding about online bullying, are aware of the importance of prevention, and have guidelines for dealing with online bullying situations.
