The Digital Verification (Fact – Check) Training Program held during

30 – 31 August 2022 at Mandarin Hotel Bangkok.

The objective of the program is to enhance skills in verifying fake news by the experts in Fact-Checking from AFP to journalists from TV stations, radio stations, News agencies, printing media agencies, online media agencies, and personnel from related academics, public and private communications whose mission is to disseminate information, news, and facts to the public. This program aims to apply and transfer knowledge and exchange experiences in safe and creative media.

The major topics during these 2 days training are as follows:

  1. Principles and methods; how to check fake news
  2. Principles and methods; how to check Pictures or video clips
  3. Methods how to find information in online media
  4. How to select the trusted sources
  5. How to write a factcheck

On this occasion, Dr. Chamnan Ngammaneeudom, TMF’s Deputy CEO, and Mr. Stephane Delfour, Directeur Agence France – Presse (AFP)’s Bureau Chief of Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos gave welcome speech to all participants.
